Job Summary

To effectively manage the marketing database, website and social media channels for the company. To ensure that all marketing spend is tracked and marketing activity is measured effectively to drive future decision making. To work with external marketing suppliers to ensure the development and implementation of an effective marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media
    • Manage daily social media campaigns, including recruitment
    • Create relevant content to engage with customers
    • Create & manage published content (video, images, interviews)
    • Monitor, listen and respond to users in “social” whilst cultivating leads and sales
    • Develop and expand community and/or blog outreach efforts
    • Manage numerous accounts on a variety of social media platforms
  • Website
    • Update contents on a regular basis in line with marketing strategies
      • Newsletters
      • HR in the News
      • Blogs and Information
    • Work with recruitment to ensure that all live vacancies are on the website in a timely fashion
    • Update approved suppliers and work with those suppliers to ensure their content is current and relevant
    • Ensure the website is an effective marketing tool for the business
    • Long term – work with the web developers to ensure security and mobile responsive
  • Marketing
    • Creating basic presentations 
    • Uploading and maintaining the customer database
    • Preparation and maintenance of materials
    • Management/Uploading of video and photo content
    • Help with the creation of emails and sales letters
    • Develop new ideas to improve lead generation
    • Support all PR activities
  • Client Engagement
    • Compile and issue the quarterly newsletter and liaise with external contributors and suppliers
    • Arrange events, seminars and weekly surgeries

Personal Specification

Education and Experience

  • Educated to Level 5 with GCSE level C or above in English and Maths
  • Have a practical working knowledge of marketing and social media tools
  • Have relevant business experience and understand the role marketing plays in business success

  • Ability to edit other people’s writing and to edit existing content to form new, high-quality content
  • The ability to interview others to gather key information to turn into relevant content

  • The ability to edit video and to use video as an effective marketing tool
  • A friendly, likeable person who has a good understanding of people and is able to quickly build effective working relationships both internally and externally
  • A love of numbers, analytics, targets and measuring achievement is essential as creativity must be matched by understanding
  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently and take direction
  • High attention to detail, working efficiently and accurately under pressure
