Hi, today’s top tip from our 52 top tips for employers is all about healthcare and it’s the four of spades.
Often seen as a luxury, many employers offer private medical insurance as a way of keeping their staff at work for longer. If they can get appointments quickly, be seen at times that are more convenient to them, the negative impact of absence from work is reduced. Employees are more willing to deal with small issues quickly and again reduce their absence from work.
Some employers will also offer the benefit to family members, usually based on seniority in the business, but this reduces stress and concern when a partner or a child falls ill.
Medical insurance can be quite expensive but it is seen as an investment and really, employees really enjoy the benefit that medical insurance brings.
